What Is IMPACT?
IMPACT is a nationally-recognized, trauma-informed self-defense program that empowers people - especially women and other vulnerable groups - to set boundaries and protect themselves physically, emotionally, and verbally. Our unique approach uses full-force, scenario-based training with instructors in padded armor, providing a realistic, safe space to learn and grow.

The Operations & Outreach Coordinator serves as the operational hub of IMPACT Chicago.
This role owns the full cycle of program operations, from community outreach and enrollment through course logistics and post-program follow-up. The Coordinator is expected to take full ownership of their areas of responsibility, exercise independent judgment, and bring a strategic perspective to the work.
  • Build relationships with community organizations to drive enrollment
  • Coordinate volunteers and serve as their primary point of contact
  • Manage the full lifecycle of course and workshop operations
  • Handle registration, payments, and participant communications
  • Maintain databases, website, and the program calendar
  • Report monthly to the Admin Team

This is not a clerical role. It requires initiative, relationship-building skills, comfort with ambiguity, and a genuine commitment to IMPACT's mission.
