Online Workshops

IMPACT Chicago's online workshops provide an introduction to Empowerment Self-Defense, using presentation, chat, activities, and exercises to raise participants' awareness of basic safety principles and tools.
The workshops build on what participants already know and emphasize the strengths they already have to expand their range of choices - not only in threatening situations, but in everyday life.
IMPACT Chicago offers online self-defense workshops for businesses, colleges, community centers, schools, and other organizations.

All online workshops take place via Zoom. If possible, participants should be in a space where:
  • They are comfortable using a loud voice, and there isn’t too much other background noise.
  • They have room to stand up, move their arms and legs, and take at least two big steps in any direction.
  • Their sound is coming out of the mic/speaker built into their device, or wireless headphones/earbuds.

To schedule an online  workshop, or for more information, please fill out the Workshop Request Form or contact [email protected] - ideally at least three weeks in advance of your preferred workshop date.
